The prints from this store are made from original photographs by Brian McCorkle. They are available printed on canvas or as note cards. Canvas prints are available mounted or stretched and are coated for protection. Not all prints are available in all styles.
These artworks are printed on canvas using Epson UltraChrome K3 inks. The prints are coated for protection against everyday handing. Dry mounted prints are ready to frame. Stretched prints are ready to hang or frame.
Surface imperfections are normal with canvas which can include blotches and outlines of seeds. Prints from Brian the Brain are made with canvas that has good surface quality. We do not use canvas that have seed pods and stains. Small specks do occur, but these do not detract from the print. The final product is inspected. Products with distracting blemishes are discarded.
Mounted prints are mounted on foam board.
These prints are ready for framing. Best of all, no glass is needed.
Some mounted prints and all stretched prints are available only in nonstandard frame sizes. This is to ensure the best viewing for your artwork. See the section on framing tips for approaches to framing both standard and nonstandard sizes.
Please be aware, that sizes are nominal. That is the nature of canvas. This is shrinkage that occurs during printing and coating. My experience that two identical pictures printed in sequence will show different shrinkage. Dry mounted prints will be within +1/16” and -1/8” of the nominal size.
